FY2027 · Adopted Budget · Fiscal Year 2026/2027
Albany is the seat of Dougherty County in southwest Georgia — not Albany, New York. The city runs its own electric (Light), gas, water, sewer, stormwater, solid waste and telecommunications utilities, which is why its Utility Funds are the largest part of the budget. Every figure on this page comes from the city’s adopted FY2027 budget book.
Unofficial demonstration dashboard — not a City of Albany publicationFigures are from the City of Albany’s Adopted Budget, Fiscal Year 2027 (adopted budget book, 282 pages). All figures are adopted budget figures for FY2027 (2026/2027), not audited actuals. No audited (ACFR) figures are shown: the city’s Annual Comprehensive Financial Report for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2024 could not be read reliably for this page, so fund balance and debt figures are not published here rather than estimated.
The whole city as the budget book’s citywide summary presents it: total revenue of $357,640,735 against total expenditures of $358,229,315 for FY2027.

The four fund groups below are the whole citywide total — their expenditures add exactly to $358,229,315. There is deliberately no matching revenue-by-fund-group chart: the book’s fund-group “Revenues” lines sum to $2,476,047 more than its citywide Revenues line, an inconsistency inside the adopted budget book itself (see Notes & disclosures). The two internal service funds are excluded here to avoid double-counting.
